Reading in Mrs. Kemper's Class

To help celebrate Read Across America and Dr. Suess’s Bithday, Mrs. Kemper’s class at MCJHS had some amazing guest speakers this past Friday.

Karissa Turner CEO from Wabash General Hospital brought a favorite book from her childhood, Henny Penny. She also brought a book she is currently reading "The Leadership Challenge". She shared insights from the book and how students can apply that knowledge in the classroom and life.

Madison McIntire read the first chapter of "The Book Thief". Several students were very interested in reading it after she was finished sharing.

Dr. Bleyer read two poems and shared why and what they meant to him. "Flanders Field" a poem from WWI and "The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost. It really gave the students something to think about.

We are so appreciative of these individuals for taking time out of their schedules to spend some time with us.
