Mrs. Witsman's Advanced Computer Applications class partnered with Mrs. Young's second grade class on a fun project! Each second grader developed his/her own character, and based off of that information, the high school students wrote and illustrated a children's story. Today, the high school students visited MCES to read the book aloud to the second grade students who created the characters. Each student received a copy of his/her book and a stuffy that coordinated with the story. This was an incredible learning experience for everyone involved! The younger students got to see their imaginations come to life, and the older students practiced real-world skills like digital design, writing, editing, and sewing. Meaningful connections across age groups were built with this amazing collaboration!
