KIMBERLY MANDRELL | MCHS Music/Chorus/Band Director
The MCHS Music Department 2025-2026 Senior Awards were given by director Kim Mandrell this week to several outstanding seniors as they close the final chapter on their high school music endeavors.
The awards presented were as follows:
The Musicianship Merit Award honors a student for leadership and service to the music program: Chandler Kleinschmidt
The Quincy Jones Award honors an outstanding student for their creativity and musicianship in multiple areas of music: Ava Giese
The Directors Awards for Chorus honors a top member of the high school choir: Karson Ash
The Director's Award for Band honors a top member of the high school band: Jackson James
The National School Choral Award is the highest honor for high school choral performers and recognizes the dedication and musical achievement: Emma Etheridge
The National School Marching Award recognizes the outstanding achievements, contributions, and dedication of a student leader in Marching Band: Makenzie Sloter
The John Philip Sousa Award is the highest honor high school band students can achieve: Karly Mandrell
