MCJHS Student Leadership Council sponsored a penny drive for Safe Haven to coincide with their campaign on Healthy Teen Dating and Friendships, cleverly titled A Day In Her Shoes. Two boys from each junior high study hall class were nominated to compete in an effort to raise money for Safe Haven. The top 5 boys who raised the most money got to sport the day in heels on the day of love, Friday, February 14th!
Students and teachers tossed in donated pennies and dollars to the nominated students’ milk jug they want to see wear heels! The last day for money collection was February 10 before lunch.

Together they raised over $700 for Safe Haven!
