8th grade 1920's party

Today our MCJHS 8th Graders participated in a roaring twenties party, where they dressed up as their favorite 1920's luminary and acted the part the whole day. All students participated in lessons pertaining to budgeting and buying items on installment like they first started doing in the twenties, learning about atoms using the periodic table and candy, as well as doing personal interviews with their fellow luminary peers. At lunch we celebrated by eating roaring 20's food and we ended the day having students show off their talents by playing jazz music and dancing to the Charlston. Big thanks to the parents, who really stepped it up, the 8th grade teachers, and administration for helping make this a huge success!
