Roaring Twenties

On Friday our MCJHS 8th Graders participated in a roaring twenties party, where they dressed up as their favorite 1920's luminary and acted the part the whole day. All students participated in lessons pertaining to budgeting and buying items on installment like they first started doing in the twenties, as well as doing personal interviews with their fellow luminary peers. At lunch we celebrated by eating roaring 20's food and we ended the day having students show off their talents by playing jazz music, talking in 20's lingo, and dancing to the Charleston. Big thanks to the parents, who really stepped it up, the 8th grade teachers, and administration for helping make this a huge success! I could not be more proud of these students!
