This is a reminder from MCES that if you have not paid your child's school fees, then please do so by December 18. Also, if you have not turned in your child's fundraiser money it has been added to your child's indebted list in LUMEN. Please check LUMEN to see what your child owes. Any money not turned in is hurting our children.

I want to express a very special thank you to Kristina Sloss and Meredith Alka for hosting "The First Ever Wabash County Co-Ed Softball Tournament". With the help of the community and MCES faculty and staff with donations of money, items and time they were able to donate $2,400 to Mt. Carmel Elementary School and we so deeply appreciate it. This tournament was not school sponsored.

Attention Parents - it is very important that your child is completing his/her online assignments. Teachers will not have time to reteach all the materials that your child will miss when the students return to school. Students should be signing into Seesaw every school day and working on their lessons. These assignments may be for grades and you and your child are responsible. Please check the district website for information pertaining to internet all over the community. The office of MCES is open from 8 - 2 if you need to call. Thank you, Mrs. Odom

REMINDER: Please be aware of the signs and symptoms of COVID-19 and how your child is presenting. Symptoms of COVID-19 may be any ONE of the following: Fever greater than or equal to 100.4, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, chills, fatigue, muscle and body aches, headache, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell, congestion, nausea and or vomiting, diarrhea and runny nose. With the increase of positivity in our community, please do not send your child to school with any one of the above listed symptoms. A fever does not always present and should not be the deciding factor whether to send your child to school or not. Please be sure your child is symptom free before returning back to school. If you are unsure of what you should do please utilize your child's school nurse with any questions. Our hope is to keep everyone as safe as possible and slow the rate of infection, with this being said we need your help in monitoring your child daily for any signs and symptoms of COVID-19 and keeping them home until symptoms subside or a physician has released your child to return to school. If you have any questions please feel free to contact your child's school. Stephanie Kolb RN, BSN, PEL-CSN Certified School NurseWabash CUSD #348

I would like to thank all the parents who participated in the School Store email program. The school earned $132 and people donated over $3,000 to teachers in gift cards. The students loved their animals and I believe they had fun. The inflatable chair was given away today and the winner was Miss Holly Paschke in 2nd grade.
