When MCES returns to in-person learning there will be parking issues. The teachers parking lot and the street are still snow covered and therefore the teachers will be parking in the front lot, leaving limited parking spots for parents. I am very sorry for the inconvenience and hopefully the snow piles will melt quickly.

This is a reminder from MCES to have your child to wear red to school tomorrow to support "National Wear Red Day" from the American Heart Association. Your children are learning about heart health in PE as we help raise money for the "Kids Heart Challenge".

MCES will be hosting the "Kids Heart Challenge" for the American Heart Association. Your child will be bringing home a packet next week with two ways to collect money. They may bring back their donation sheet and money or do the online version which many times is the easiest once it is set up. Thank you in advance for supporting this cause and teaching our children to give back. Friday, February 5th is "National Wear Red Day" and MCES will be participating.

Mrs. Metcalf's Kindergarten Class

MCES celebrated the 99th day of school on Friday, January 22nd because the 100th day of school fell on Monday, January 25th. Kindergarten and First grade had the opportunity to dress like 100 year old men and women. The grades also did special exercises.

This is a messages from MCES to remind parents that there is no school on Monday, January18, in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Valentines day is approaching and I want to remind parents that there can be no deliveries to the schools. So please support your local businesses by picking up the items and taking them home or having them delivered to your home. Also this year, students will not be bringing Valentines to exchange. The teachers will be having parties in their rooms, but exchanging of Valentines from home will not take place. Thank you for your understanding.
Menu Change at MCES - Friday, January 15 the main course will be a turkey sandwich (not chilli).
The classroom prize winners for the parties from the top sales for paragon go like this: Kindergarten - Mrs. Gordon with $1759 and Mrs. Metcalf for having 9 students participate. First Grade - Mrs. Applebey with $2246 and 10 students participating. Second Grade - Miss Linsey with $1,534 and Mrs. Litherland for having 11 students participate. The parties will be scheduled in the near future.
MCES had their Paragon fundraiser first semester and there has been a struggle to recognize the top three sellers. Sorry for the delay. #1 sales person is Mr. Jacob VanMatre with $1,125.00, #2 sales person is Mrs. Bradley Walker with $660, and the #3 sales person is Lucas Runyon with $605. Thank you boys for working so hard. Each boy won a $50 Walmart card, besides the prizes from paragon.
