MCGS students are gearing up for IAR state testing next week (April 12th-14th). This week, we're getting pumped up for IAR testing with fun spirit days. As a reminder to always use our "thinking caps", we will have HAT DAY tomorrow (Monday, April 4th). Tuesday will be SWEATS day because these tests are "no sweat"! Today MCGS students learned about the Book Blast Program, literacy, and the importance of having their own books at home. Tonight, please look over the treasure map flyer coming home with your student and support our Help Build My Home Library initiative for the kiddos. Thank you.
MCGS Parents- As required by law, Illinois schools must provide age appropriate curriculum to all students relating to sexual abuse prevention. Book Blast Literacy Drive Fundraiser- Our voyage starts next week when we’ll cast off in search of Book Blast treasure. Once your student receives their Treasure Map next week, the treasure hunt begins! Be sure to help them complete it for a chance to win one of 4 Treasure Chests Full of Cash and even an Apple iPad! But even better, they’ll be starting the journey to earning all 10 books on the Treasure Map book list. Heave ho let’s go readers!
MCGS Arrival/Dropoff- In an effort to improve the safety of our students during morning drop off, beginning Monday, February 14th, please use the front parking lot to drop off your student, unless you are using the Oak Street entrance. They will use the crosswalk and enter the building at either cafeteria entrance. As a reminder, we ask that you wait to drop off your student until 7:40am.
