WE ARE STATE BOUND!!! Last night 4 individuals competed at the District V Proficiency Awards with their record books, 3 students are moving onto state on March 26th!!! Congratulations to Gehrig J. - Ag Sales Placement Olivia A. - Agriscience Research Integrated Systems Brody E. - Agriscience Research Animal Systems Olivia and Brody also competed at the District V Agriscience receiving high scores and Olivia placed 2nd overall. Mt. Carmel FFA has some wonderful hard working students and deserve praise for their hard work! Can't wait until next year!

The Aces Scholarship is open to a graduating senior from Mt. Carmel High School in 2022. This scholarship may be used at any college/university of the recipient's choice and will be payable after June 13, 2022 upon receipt of evidence of enrollment. There are two $750.00 scholarships for May 2022. Deadline is April 8, 2022.

The MCHS Woodshop Pen Making Contest has come to an end! Congrats to Bradley Tice and Landon Lagow for winning first place and Shawn Keele and Bradley Hedge for winning second. Everyone involved did a fantastic job!

MCHS students had a great time atSADIE HAWKIN’S last Saturday! Activities includes proposals from the gals, sweet rides and dancing the night away!!

The Chamber Scholarship application is now on the Chamber website. This is a Scholarship aimed to educate young people and get them back into our local workforce. To qualify a student has to be graduating from MCHS and either work for a Chamber Member -or- parents work for a Chamber Member. Congratulations to MCHS Senior, IVAN HOLT on being selected to the IHSA All- Academic Team. The 13 male and 13 female honorees of the IHSA’s top academic honor were chosen from a group that included hundreds of students throughout the state. The students were chosen by their GPA, participation in multiple sports, essay and recommendations. This is a tremendous honor, and we are very proud to have Ivan represent our school on the All-State Academic Team.

Mt. Carmel FFA Annual Chili Supper and live auction has been postponed and rescheduled for March 1st at 6pm in the MCHS Cafeteria. So many wonderful items to be auctioned off and gallons of chili to be eaten, hope to see you there!
