Today was the first day of Beginning Band Bootcamp for the new incoming 5th grade band students! Students will come in all week M-F in 6 different instrument small groups to learn the basics of their instrument and their first few notes before school starts. We are having a great time! Any incoming 5th grader who missed the sign up and wants to be a part of the band, please email Mrs. Wall at ewall@wabash348.com right way!

MCGS Families: Skyward registration will open on Monday, July 22nd. A reminder that all 6th grade students and any new student to the district will need required health forms prior to being allowed to register in Skyward. Forms can be turned in to the MCHS office beginning July 22nd from 8AM-6PM. The MCGS office will reopen on July 23rd. Thank you.

The 3rd grade competed in Slalom Skiing for the Dash Olympics the last two days. The overall 3rd grade gold medal, with a time of 424 seconds, was Liam M.! Jace S., Maddox M., Dawson M. Wyatt C., Liam M., Jasper G., Levi H., and Wyatt B. had the quickest times in the grade. Congratulations!

Last night, the School Board approved amending the school calendar to not be in session on April 8th, 2024. This is the date of the eclipse. Due to the excitement and mobilization of entire communities for this event, it became clear that it would be too difficult to be in session that day. To compensate for not being in session that day, the Board approved being in session on April 1st, 2024. April 1st was to be the last day of spring break, but now it will be an attendance day. I hope this change will be beneficial to all of you.
