MCHS students have been busy visiting a couple of IECC schools. Students visited Lincoln Trail College (LTC) last week for Senior Day where they went on a tour, played trivia, received financial aid information, and had free lunch! This week students visited Wabash Valley College (WVC) for Broadcasting Day, where they learned about careers in broadcasting, social media, and behind the scenes operations of a radio/tv station. The students also received free lunch from the Warrior Grill at WVC. Thank you to our local IECC schools for creating such fun and educational events for our students!

Mount Carmel Junior/Senior High School participated in an intruder drill today. Not only are these drills required by state law, they are also helpful in ensuring the safety of our students and staff if an emergency arises. The staff did a great job in directing the students through the drill and the students did their part in following their direction.

Juniors, You will be taking the PSAT/NMSQT this TOMORROW Oct 24th. Please report to the Library after the 7:55 bell. You should only bring a fully charged Chromebook, an approved calculator (if you do not want to use the one provided by BlueBook) and a pen/pencil for scratch work. You will NOT be allowed to bring in Cell Phones, Headphones, or Smartwatches. If you bring any of the prohibited items to the test they will be locked in my office until all testing is completed. The school and staff are not responsible for any lost items that are prohibited in the testing area. Here is a link to a few articles that explain what is on the test that you may find helpful (https://satsuite.collegeboard.org/psat-nmsqt/whats-on-the-test) . Also you may take the practice test as often as you like using the Bluebook app on your Chromebook.
