The Gregory F Yank “Servant Leader” Scholarship will fund scholarships to an accredited College or Trade School. Awards will be $2,500.00 each. Recipients will agree to have their awards publicized throughout Rotary International District 6510. Completed applications should be received by May 1st. Decisions will be made in May and June. Late applications will not be accepted. Applications are available in the Guidance Office.
The Rotary International District 6510 Scholarship will fund two scholarships to an accredited College or Trade School for two seniors residing in Rotary District 6510. Awards will be $2,500.00 each. Winners will be presented at the High School Senior event where Scholarships are awarded (if possible). Wednesday, MCHS held a Blood Drive sponsored by FBLA. It was a huge success, and thanks to our wonderful students and staff, 37 units were donated! Thank you to all of the workers and Red Cross for assisting with this event!
The Aces Scholarship is open to a graduating senior from Mt. Carmel in 2023. The Scholarship may be used at any college/university of the scholarship recipient’s choice and will be payable after June 13th, 2023 upon receipt of evidence of enrollment. There are two $750.00 Scholarships for May of 2023. The deadline is April 8, 2023. Applications are available in the Guidance Office.
SENIORS: the deadline to submit senior portraits, baby pictures, and senior quotes for inclusion in the yearbook is March 1. I will only grant a limited number of extensions for extenuating circumstances. If we don't receive a photo from you, we will use your school portrait.

The Mt. Carmel Freshmen, JV, and Varsity Basketball teams will travel to Paris on Friday, February 10th. The Freshmen game will begin at 5:00pm, with the JV and Varsity games to follow. These games will all be played at Ernie Eveland Gym. Address: 306 S Central Ave, Paris, IL 61944
The Mt. Carmel Girls Basketball team will be hosting their IHSA Regional Quarterfinal Game at Mt. Carmel High School against Lawrenceville on Saturday, February 11th at 1:00pm. The winner of this game will advance to the Carmi Regional Semifinals against Fairfield on Monday, February 13th at 7:30pm.
The MCHS Girls Basketball game at Wayne City on Thursday, February 9th will be Varsity ONLY. The Varsity Game will start at 6:00pm.

Elijah Sherman, Senior at MCHS was named to the Little Illini Conference Scholastic Bowl All-Conference team. Sherman was the third best player in the LIC answering Toss-up questions in the seven matches against other league schools.
