The Mt. Carmel High School Soccer Match scheduled for Saturday, September 3rd in Harrisburg has been moved to Saturday, September 10th at 11:00am in Harrisburg.
Field location: Taylor Field/Michael Herrin Soccer Field (733 W. O'Gara St. Harrisburg, IL)
The Construction and Woods 2 classes had the opportunity to hear from Austin Ridgely and Brad Schroeder from HLR Engineering. They spoke on how they survey using cutting edge technology such as drones and special surveying cameras that mount to trucks.

Due to low numbers in the Marshall football program, the JV football game scheduled for Monday, August 29th has been cancelled.

Fall picture days will be held in Gym 1 on the stage during the mornings of Wednesday, September 7 for MCHS students and Thursday, September 8th for MCJHS students. Students will be called to the gym alphabetically by grade . All students will get their picture taken for the yearbook and Skyward. Ordering information is listed below. Pick up a Form in Main Office and fill out
If the Student is a MCHS Graduate just return the Form
If the Student is from another school or graduate of another school they will need to take to their school and fill out and bring back to MCHS Office before you are allowed to come to Homecoming Dance

Caution: Construction workers and district administration only!!! The turf field is looking great and we appreciate everyone's patience through this process. We are glad that the community has been able to watch the process and want to continue to allow people to see the progress. The track surface is about to be laid and we need everyone's cooperation to stay out of the construction zone. This will be monitored and enforced by Mount Carmel Police Department. As a reminder, the facility is also under camera surveillance. We are getting so close and we don't need any setbacks now.
The MCHS Cross Country team will not be running at Fairfield on Tuesday, August 23rd as previously scheduled. Their first meet will now be Saturday, August 27th at Angel Mounds in Evansville.

Attention Juniors, and Seniors: MCES is taking applications from Junior and Senior High Students to become a Lunch Buddy Mentor.
For this program, each high school student is paired with one elementary student to mentor. The high school student comes to the Elementary School one day a week during their lunch hour. During that time you will eat lunch with your student and then get to know them during recess time. Please answer the following questions to apply. Students who are selected to participate will be contacted by email for an orientation meeting. The program will start the week of September 19th. Please note, that we are only accepting mentors who have 5A lunch this year.

Chromebooks have been issued to students. If you would like to purchase insurance for the Chromebook, you can go to schooldevicecoverage.com to register and pay. The cost for insurance is $29 and can save you from costly damages. You will need the serial number from your student's device in order to register. An email was also sent with more detailed information and a sign up form if you would rather send it in through the mail. If you didn't receive an email, make sure you check your spam folder.
