UPDATE: The Baseball and Softball Regional games scheduled for today in Olney have been postponed. Both games will now be played tomorrow (Fri 9/22) at 4:00pm in Olney. Both teams will be picked up by the bus at Mount Carmel Grade School at 1:45.

REMINDER: ALL Schools will dismiss early on Friday, September 22, 2023, for Homecoming. School will dismiss at 1:00 p.m.

UPDATE: The Jr. High Girls Regional Softball at Only on Thursday 9/21 has been move to the 4:00pm time slot.

The Mt. Carmel Junior High School Baseball and Softball teams will open post season play in Olney on Thursday 9/21. Softball will play their first round game at 2:00 pm against Carmi-White County. The baseball team will play their first round game at 4:00 pm against Flora. Both Regional Championship games will be played on Saturday 9/23 at 10:00 am in Olney

MCHS wants to reach a goal of collecting well over 10,000 pounds worth of canned goods for the Sunrise School Spirit competition. We are currently around 1,000 pounds, and need your help! Come enjoy the fun while supporting your local community! September 30th our local Eagles (FOE 3066) will be hosting a Suicide Awareness and Prevention Fundraiser. PLEASE check out the flyer for all the details as it is an all day event filled will fun activities including: corn hole, a car show, music, food, guest speakers and more.

On SEPTEMBER 20th, DEACONESS CROSS POINTE will be presenting Suicide Prevention to all Junior High students during P.E. & Health Classes. The information presented includes internal and external sources that impact our mental health. Such as bullying, social media, and self-care, as well as coping skills that assist in obtaining overall wellness. To opt-out contact the guidance office at 262-8886

1st period classes will be competing to win breakfast provided by FBLA for the Sunrise School Spirit. Bring in unexpired and nonperishable items from now until October 10th!

Attention Junior High Parents- Your child cannot go out to lunch with another student unless we have a note or a phone call to the office allowing them to do so. You also MUST sign the student out in the main office for them to be able to leave for lunch.

MCHS is participating in the Sunrise School Spirit through 14News on October 13, 2023. We are asking for donations of unexpired and nonperishable items. You may drop off these items at MCJHS in the lobby, as well as other locations throughout town, between August 28-October 10. All items collected will be given to the Tri-State Food Bank. Please consider contributing to this event to make it a success! More details to come about the event on October 13!

The Mount Carmel Jr. High Baseball and Softball games at home against Carmi has been rescheduled for Thursday September 7th at 4:30.

The Mt. Carmel Junior High Softball Game scheduled for today at Grayville has been cancelled.

Nearly all MCHS and MCJHS students were issued Chromebooks today. Once again we will be offering Chromebook insurance. The insurance covers accidental Chromebook damage such as cracked screens, broken hinges, and liquid submersion as well as accidental damage to chargers. The cost for the insurance for the school year will be $29 and there is no deductible for claims. In order to purchase the insurance, you will need to complete the form below and send $29 to the school office. Cash or checks will be accepted. The Mt. Carmel Junior High Baseball game scheduled for today against Albion has been cancelled due to the weather. We are currently looking at dates to reschedule this game.
