Good news. I received word from the Chromebook insurance company that they are extending the deadline to enroll your student's device until the end of October, but don't wait. If the student device is not enrolled prior to the claim, it will not be covered. We have already had six claims this year that ranged from $100 - $300. The conversation with the student is much easier knowing they have insurance. We can get them back on the road without loss of instructional time. Again, the insurance costs $20 per year and covers accidental damage, cracked screen, liquid submersion, fire, flood, and loss/theft. To enroll, go to schooldevicecoverage.com or stop by the school to pick up an enrollment form. If you have any questions, you can contact the school office at 618-262-5104.
