Our annual science fair judging was held December 4th after school. A big shout out to our community members who helped with the judging process and to all of the students who chose to have their project judged. Enjoy Christmas jazz performances at the Mount Carmel UPTOWN CHRISTMAS this Friday, December 6th, with the MCJH and MCHS JAZZ BANDS. The MCJHS Jazz Band will perform at 4:30 p.m., and the MCHS Jazz Band will follow at 5:30 p.m. The performances will be held inside the River Church Building at 315 N. Market Street.

The Mt. Carmel Jr. High Band placed first out of all the junior high bands in the 2024 Oblong Spooktacular parade on Saturday, Oct. 26, and was also awarded best percussion! The Oblong parade is the largest nighttime parade in Illinois and attracts over 30 High School and junior high bands from all over Illinois. The junior high drum majors are Lucy Hall and Dani Arano. The Jr. Marching Aces are directed by Ellen Wall.
