📢 Date Change for Football Camps
This year, football camp for grades K-5 will be on June 9, 10, & 11. We are moving the dates this year to try to beat the July heat.
Football camp for grades 6-8 will remain in the evenings on July 14, 15, & 16.
Forms can be picked up and returned to the main office at MCES, MCGS, & MCHS, or returned by mail
Due to District #348 closing on March 6th, 2025, this day has to be made up. The last day of school will now be May 27th as a 3-hour early dismissal. May 23rd will now be a full-day in-session school day.
Parents we will begin I.A.R testing tomorrow and continue through Thursday. Please have your students at school on time and their Chromebook charged and ready for testing.
State Testing will begin tomorrow for 8th Grade Students. They will participate in the Illinois Science Assessment during their Science classes on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The following week all Junior High students will be taking the I.A.R tests on Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday. Please have your students'
Chromebook charged and be sure to have them at school on time

Good evening. With the advancement of our Lady Aces Basketball team to the state semi-finals in Bloomington on Thursday, all Wabash 348 schools will not be in session on Thursday, March 6th. There are numerous families, students, and fans traveling that day to the game, and the District wants to promote attendance at this historic event for Lady Aces Basketball. At a later date, an amendment will be made to the school calendar to make up the mandatory attendance day. Go Aces!

As we settle into the second semester of the 2024-2025 School year I would like to remind everyone of upcoming State Testing dates for District #348. Today, Thursday January 16th, Mt. Carmel Junior Senior High School will participate in a scheduled drill to practice lockdown procedures. This drill will be conducted in collaboration with Mt. Carmel Police Department. Again, this will be a DRILL.

Our annual science fair judging was held December 4th after school. A big shout out to our community members who helped with the judging process and to all of the students who chose to have their project judged. The students that will be going on to the district science fair at SIU in Carbondale are Josie James, Dani Arano, Luis Bohorquez, Grayson Roberts, and Lucy Hall.
