The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of the new building at the Mt. Carmel High School with The Wabash County Chamber is scheduled for April 2nd at 4 p.m. After the ceremony,

District #348 has a limited number of surplus Solar Eclipse Glasses that can be purchased for $1.00 each. They are available at the District #348 office for pickup while supplies last. Please note: All District #348 STUDENTS and STAFF will receive a pair of solar eclipse glasses.
District #348 Preschool for All will be conducting Child Find/Preschool Screenings for children ages 3 to 5 who are not yet enrolled in public schools and who will not be kindergarten eligible. The screening checks each child’s progress in hearing, vision, speech, language, and coordination skills. This will give parents a better idea of how their child is progressing at this very young age before they begin school. This screening program is free and parents will receive immediate feedback on how their child is developing. Head Start personnel will also be present to explain their program and services. Screenings will be held on April 9th, 10th and 11th. The screening procedure takes about 45 minutes, and appointments must be made so that children do not have a long wait period. Parents should call 618-262-4623 to make an appointment or to get more information.

Just a reminder that your current 5th grade student enrolling next school year as a 6th grader will need to have a completed physical and current Tdap and Meningococcal vaccines prior to registering for the 2024-2025 school year. A dental exam will also need to be completed prior to May, 15, 2025. Please schedule these appointment ASAP as you child will not be able to register without the physical and immunizations completed.
